Structural Composition
Drainage nets mainly include double-ribbed and three-dimensional geonets. Double-ribbed geonets consist of two intersecting ribs forming drainage channels, providing high longitudinal and lateral drainage capacity. Three-dimensional geonets consist of three ribs arranged at certain intervals and angles to form a three-dimensional spatial structure with drainage channels. The central rib has greater rigidity, forming a rectangular drainage channel.
Material Characteristics
Typically made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polypropylene (PP), it features high permeability, high strength, and corrosion resistance. The material itself is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion and has a long service life.
Performance Advantages
Composite drainage nets use a three-dimensional core structure, typically 5-8mm thick. The central vertical ribs and diagonal supports form continuous drainage channels, achieving a drainage efficiency 5-8 times that of traditional gravel layers, with a drainage capacity of up to 0.3 m³/m² per unit time. The core of the geogrid, composed of HDPE and polypropylene fibers, boasts a bidirectional tensile strength of 20-50 kN/m and a compressive modulus more than three times that of traditional geogrids.
Applications
Widely used in landfills, railways, highways, tunnels, and retaining wall structures. For example, in landfills, it can be used as a groundwater drainage layer, a leakage detection layer, and a leachate collection and drainage layer; in railway systems, it can be installed under the subgrade or ballast to drain rising groundwater or surface seepage.
